Zippo Hand Warmer?

i recently considered purchasing the zippo hand warmer set, and i was wondering if it came with 2 warmers for snowboarding gloves

Nope, you gotta buy 2 of em. Its kind of a pointless product.

how do i keep my snowboard gloves dry?

i snowboard and i have wrecked a bunch of gloves because of them getting pinched in the bindings which causes them to rip, and the snow just gets in. i don’t want to spend more than 60$$ on new ones, and was wondering if there is anything i can do to make them more waterproof, like a spray or something???

Also, i heard that mittens keep you warmer, do they work good for snowboarding or do you kinda need the fingers? i really hope someone can help. thanks in advance!

Umm I’ve heard of stuff like Nix Wax and Tech Wash to re waterproof pants and items like that, I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work for gloves. As for mittens I use them and yes generally they do keep your hands warmer since all your digits are in contact with each other and are able to keep warmer with body heat, I use mittens and I’ve never had a problem with strapping up.

Should i purchase snowboard mittens or gloves?

I own a pair of gloves which are thick and bulky, It is a hassle to adjust my bindings when i’m using these gloves.

I looked into pipe gloves but i heard they are not good for the winter season and if they get wet they stay wet and your hands freeze

So i was looking into mittens, they look comfortable, roomy, warm, and stylish

I don’t have a clue since i dont own a pair, and I don’t know how much control i will have when using them. (Will i be able to adjust my bindings while in mittens?)

Im going down to the shop tomorrow and im purchasing a new pair of either, i do not know yet. My old gloves are done for.

Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks

What are you two talking about? I see people riding with snowboard mittens all the time.

Here are some..

If you don’t like the bulk of gloves, you won’t like mittens. They tend to feel bulkier, but they are also warmer. I actually have lots of different gloves, some mittens, some "lobsters" (thumb and index finger only, and the rest is a mitten. Stick with gloves. My personal preference for all around do everything gloves: The Burton Gore Under-glove. It’s a glove, but the powder skirt is lower profile so you wear it under you jacket sleeve- hence under-glove.

Which is better for kids skiing or snowboarding – gloves or mittens with glove liners?

for younger kids, skiing. I learned to ski at 3 and continued for 10 years. I snowboard now, but I’m glad that I learned to ski first. (even if it’s completely different.) I find skiing to be a lot safer, and it’s fun for the little ones. as for the gloves/mittens, find the warmest, most comfortable pair. I personally like gloves better because it’s easier to put equipment on/off. try ski shops like buckmans or pinnacle, they always have warm gloves and mittens.

Gloves or mitts? What’s best for snowboarding?

What are the pros and cons for each of these items?

I like gloves because you can adjust your bindings if you need to…and you don’t look like a seal!

Gloves/Mittens?

I’m looking for a really warm pair of gloves or mittens for snowboarding.

Go to sports authority, dicks sporting goods, snowboard/ski shop, or some sporting store and just test them out, I bought some Scott USA Snowboarding gloves at Marshalls for $6 and they are cool and awesome. Make sure it says waterproof and not weatherproof, the weatherproof stuff sucks.

What gloves to you recommend for snowboarding.?

The season is over and i need to get a good pair of durable waterproof golves. My old ones were lost to the rope tow. They didn’t work well for me becasue i had a hard time hanging onto the rope and the rope kinda just slid through the gloves which shredded the coating off. Any suggestions on what type of gloves to get or what to look for when buying the gloves that i need. Thanks in advance.

GMC’s are pretty good. I bet they they’d hold up pretty well with the rope tow. I have Dakines (Cobra GT with Gore-tex) but they’re leather (and extra waterproof!!!) but I think they’d get hammered on by the rope. Get them if you can avoid the rope tow. If not, just get a cheap set and spray them with Scotchbrite every once in awhile.
